Jackson Landmark Day Wednesday of Homecoming Week (September 14)

Freshman: Nixon Water/skate park
Located In the middle of Jackson. Nixon has skateboard ramps ramps, a water park with two large water slides, a full size hockey rink and more. 
Sophomores: Cascades
Cascades is one of the larger parks in the country. It is famous for the cascade falls, one of the largest man made waterfalls in the world with 6 immense fountains, 3 reflecting pools and 16 falls.  
Juniors: Jackson Prison 
Opening in 1839, it was the first prison in Michigan. After 150 years, it was divided into 4 distinct prisons (still in jackson) 
Seniors: Falling waters trail:
The trail is 10.5 miles long; connecting cascades, ella sharp, lime lake and swains lake parks. Its mostly rural, with few road crossings. 
Have fun representing Jackson's landmarks!
